Information We Collect
ShantiQuest (Package: com.dpapps.shantiquest) is designed to respect player privacy. We collect minimal data necessary for gameplay progression, analytics, and optional rewarded ad delivery:
- Anonymous User Identifier: A randomly generated Firebase Authentication user ID (UID) to save your level progression, coin balance, and unlocked boosters across sessions.
- Gameplay & Progress Telemetry: Level scores, star completions, booster usage, moves remaining, and continue decisions to optimize level difficulty and game balance.
- Device & System Information: Operating system version, device model, screen resolution, and graphics memory tier to ensure 60 FPS performance.
- Diagnostic & Crash Logs: Non-fatal error tracebacks via Firebase Crashlytics to fix bugs and improve performance.
- Ad Interaction Telemetry: Non-personal ad load metrics, completion events, and Server-Side Verification (SSV) tokens for AdMob Rewarded Ads.
How We Use Your Information
Collected information is used exclusively to support and improve the core game experience:
- To store and restore your game save state (unlocked chapters, level progress, coins, and boosters).
- To dynamically adjust level difficulty parameters via Remote Config for a balanced experience.
- To verify AdMob Rewarded Ad completions server-side before granting in-game rewards (+5 extra moves, coins, or boosters).
- To detect and resolve technical crashes and performance bottlenecks.
Third-Party Services
ShantiQuest integrates trusted Google developer services to power cloud saves, analytics, and optional ads:
- Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Remote Config, Analytics, Crashlytics): Provides cloud database, secure backend verification, and performance monitoring. Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob: Serves optional rewarded video ads. AdMob may use device advertising identifiers (GAID) in accordance with your consent preferences. AdMob Privacy Terms
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Manages privacy consent (GDPR / CCPA / CPRA) for players in applicable regions.
Data Safety & Ad Choices
You have full control over your privacy preferences:
- Privacy Consent Form: Players in the EEA/UK or California can review, update, or revoke consent for personalized ads at any time via the Privacy Policy & Ads button in the in-app Profile/Settings menu.
- Non-Personalized Ads: When consent is denied or restricted, only contextual, non-personalized ads are shown. Gameplay is never blocked when consent is denied.
- No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or device data to third parties.
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
ShantiQuest is built to be family-friendly and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR Article 8. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdiction regions). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately for deletion.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
Game progression and wallet state associated with your anonymous user ID are retained in Firebase Firestore to support session restoration. You may reset or purge your saved data at any time directly inside the game by navigating to Profile Settings -> Reset Progress.
